Jillian, not Jellybean!

Since my name begins with ‘J’ I thought I would write an acrostic using my name for today’s post for the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge. The acrostic is written below, underneath that I’ll add more explanation for some of the lines.

Jellybean Jar was my original Words with Friends name but Jillian is my name. One day when I had been working in a Prep classroom the teacher thanked me at the end of the day and used my first name. In the carpark I heard one of the boys from the Prep class say to his Mum and Aunt, as I walked by, “Did you know that her name’s Jellybean!”. It was so funny! Do you have a story about your name?

Interestingly, my main love language is quality time. Therefore I really value time with family and friends. Do you know what your love language is?

Lemon Butter is pretty yummy but two of my favourite foods are macadamia nuts and avocado. I would have avocado with at least one meal most days. Macadamia nuts are more of a treat but a great substitute for cashews if you want the creamy taste. I’ve used macadamia cream in this salsa chicken recipe as my husband shouldn’t eat cashews and my daughter doesn’t like coconut cream. What is your favourite food?

Listening to podcasts is something I enjoy when I’m baking or doing housework. Some of the podcasts I enjoy are The Next Right Thing, The Simple Show, The Carey Nieuwhof Leadership Podcast and The D6 Podcast. Can you recommend any good podcasts?

I like to bring the generations together whether it is extended family or a church event. We can learn so much from each other. What have you learnt from someone older or younger than you?

Any book will do! Reading would be my favourite past time. I have several books on the go at the moment and am always borrowing more from the library. Can you recommend any good books?

Never liked coffee and as it turns out caffeine is not good for me. I don’t sleep very well if I’ve knowingly or unknowingly had caffeine. I like the smell of coffee but not the taste. The one time I had a cup of coffee I didn’t enjoy it and had a headache afterwards. I only drink herbal teas now but mostly I stick to water. What foods do you find affect you?

  1. Jullian,

It’s nice getting to know you better through this post. Jellybean is a cute name. I always liked the smell of coffee but never cared for the taste when I was younger and it wasn’t until I hit my early 20s that I became addicted to the stuff to keep me charged for work. Have a jolly time today and thank you for dropping by my place! 😉
