Books Read in March

This is my monthly reading log but in keeping with the A to Z Challenge I’ve slightly reworded the title.

I managed to read a few novels as we went away for the weekend in the middle of the month. These are the books I’ve read in March:

The Storytellers Secret: How TED Speakers and Inspirational Leaders Turn Their Passion into Performance by Carmine Gallo

As the title suggests this book explores how storytelling can be used to promote a product, share your why, get people to act and so much more. Each chapter shares a lesson with stories to illustrate the lesson. We are created to tell stories and story is an effective form of communication.

Every Breath by Nicholas Sparks

Another great Nicholas Sparks novel. Hope and Tru meet at Sunset Beach where they have both come for very different reasons. Their chance meeting sets of a heart breaking story that spans continents & decades.

The next two books I won from Tabitha Ann Bird whose debut novel is coming out in June.

Half Moon Lake by Kirsten Alexander

In 1913, four-year-old Sunny Davenport goes missing. Two years later the boy is found in the company of a tramp. But is it really the Sunny? An unwed mother comes forward claiming the boy is hers. A novel that shows what society was like in Southern America at the time & how this impacted on what happened. Inspired by the true story of Bobby Dunbar who went missing in 1912.

The Kookaburra Creek Cafe by Sandie Docker

Meet Hattie the owner of the Kookaburra Creek Cafe, Alice the manager of the Kookaburra Creek Cafe and Becca, a teenager in trouble. There is trouble for the Cafe but we learn more about each character & how they came to be at Kookaburra Creek. I can’t wait to read the second book by Sandie Docker which I also won.

This brings by total to 8 books read for the year so far.

  1. I’ve found I’m reading more articles and blog posts recently rather than books, and I’ve a feeling April will continue this way!
