Dairy Free Chocolate Fudge

Jump to Recipe

A number of years ago I bought a cookbook from a local MOPS group that had compiled it to sell for fundraising.  The leader who sold it to me marked the Wonderful Chocky Fudge recipe in the book by putting a heart around the page number.  I’ve adapted the recipe to make dairy free chocolate fudge.

Wonderful Chocky Fudge title with heart drawn around page number

The MOPS leader & I worked together on organising a number of state conferences and one year we made giving plates with this chocolate fudge on it as the thank you gift.  A giving plate is a plate with a rhyme on it that explains that you need to fill the plate with more goodies and pass it on.

I’ve made the original recipe many times and have made it a few times as a gift for others.   The original recipe has condensed milk, eating chocolate, chocolate melts & butter.  Similar recipes are easy to find with a quick google search.

Homemade green material advent calendar with red pockets

I’ve only made it dairy free a few times but it’s still very moreish.   One time I made the dairy free chocolate fudge,  instead of buying lollies for the advent calendar.  I wrapped individual pieces of the fudge in baking paper which I’d written the Bible reference for that days symbol on.  I had the wrapped fudge already in the fridge and added to the calendar just before looking in that days pocket.

If you use coconut cream instead of coconut condensed milk it will be less firm but still very yummy!  I used a large tin of coconut cream for the chocolate fudge in the pictures.  I think it separated a bit, that’s why there’s white bits in it.  However, it still tastes yum!
