Gluten Free Potato Sausage Pie
Mash potato, sausage, bacon, eggs and more, mixed together and baked in a pie dish.

- 3 large potatoes (or sweet potatoes)
- 2 tbsp yellow maize flour or almond meal
- 2 tbsp oil
- 4 failsafe sausages (or sausage of choice)
- 1 onion (can also use spring onions)
- 2 rashers bacon
- ½ cup milk of choice
- 3 eggs
- ½ cup brown rice flour (or gluten free flour blend)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 130 g can creamed corn
- ½ cup grated cheese or dairy free cheese
Preheat oven to 190°C
Peel and cut potatoes. Boil until tender. Mash lightly.
Grease an ovenproof pie dish. Sprinkle lightly with the yellow maize flour or almond meal.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in pan. Add sausages and cook until well browned all over & cooked through. Cut into 2 cm pieces.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in pan. Add onion and bacon, cook stirring until bacon is crisp. (Alternatively cook in microwave on high for approx 2 mins)
Combine mashed potato, sausages, bacon & onion, milk, egg, brown rice flour, creamed corn and cheese in a large bowl and mix well.
Pour mixture into prepared pie dish.
Cook in oven for about 50 mins or until firm
Recipe can be made with potato or sweet potato.
We use almond milk but you can use whatever milk you like.
Can omit cheese or use dairy free alternative.
